Our Story
My Implant Business (MIB) grew out of daily surgical work. As an oral surgeon, Dr. Frank Zastrow experienced the limitations of many bone augmentation concepts – they were often expensive, complex and not biologically stable in the long term.
Based on this experience, he developed the concept of Biological Bone Augmentation (BBA) and the Semilunar Technique (SLT), and started teaching colleagues from all over the world how to work with real bone in a predictable way.
To support this, he founded My Implant Business – combining education, medical equipment and business know-how under one roof. Today, the MIB Team and Co-Instructors continue this mission with the same focus: clear biological logic, practical workflows and honest communication.

1999–2004
Dental Education
Dr. Frank Zastrow studies dentistry at the University of Heidelberg.

2005–2007
Oral Surgery Training
Dr. Zastrow completes his specialist training in oral surgery at University Hospital Heidelberg.

2008–2012
Schloss Schellenstein – Prof. Fouad Khoury
Dr. Zastrow deepens his expertise in autogenous bone augmentation under Prof. Fouad Khoury and is later appointed senior physician (Oberarzt).

2011
Master of Science (MSc)
Dr. Zastrow earns his MSc in Implantology and Dental Surgery at the University of Münster.

2012
Private Practice Wiesloch
Dr. Zastrow takes over his father’s practice in Wiesloch and focuses on implantology and oral surgery.

2015
BBA Academy & EBA-System
Dr. Zastrow establishes the BBA Academy and develops the EBA-System to structure education in Biological Bone Augmentation.

Idea for the Easy Bone Collector
During a Tchaikovsky concert in Moscow, Dr. Zastrow conceives the idea for the Easy Bone Collector, later developing it into a medical device concept.

Patent Registrations
Dr. Zastrow files the initial patent in 2016, followed by patent grants in 2018 and 2020.

CE Certification Process
Dr. Zastrow initiates and oversees the CE certification process for the Easy Bone Collector and related systems.

My Implant Business continues Dr. Zastrow’s work through education, community building, and CE-certified medical devices.

Education
Online masterclasses and the MIB Elite and MIB Expert Clubs provide structured training in Biological Bone Augmentation (BBA), Semilunar Technique (SLT) and vertical augmentation. Real surgical cases, whiteboard explanations and case discussions help you transfer the concepts into your own clinic.
Hands-On Courses
In-person Hands-On courses in Heidelberg and selected locations worldwide. You work on models and pig heads, practice complete workflows step by step and discuss your own cases with the MIB Team and Co-Instructors.
Medical Equipment
CE-certified instruments such as the Easy Bone Collector, TMS screws and Ready2Go / Starter Boxes are designed to support autogenous concepts in everyday use – logical, simple and aligned with the biological principles we teach.

In Memory of Dr. Frank Zastrow
Dr. Frank Zastrow was the founder of My Implant Business and the creator of the Biological Bone Augmentation (BBA) concept and the Semilunar Technique (SLT).
As an oral surgeon, he trained thousands of clinicians worldwide through lectures, masterclasses and live surgeries. Many of the cases, videos and protocols inside the MIB Clubs and Hands-On courses are based directly on his work and teaching style.
With MIB, we continue his mission: to share knowledge openly, focus on biology rather than marketing, and support a global community of colleagues who want to build real bone in a predictable way.

Dr. David Wiss, MSc
Oral Surgeon & Implantologist
Oral surgeon and implantologist based in Vienna with a focus on biological bone and soft tissue augmentation. He studied dentistry in Würzburg, completed an MSc in Oral Surgery and Implantology at the Danube University Krems, and trained as a specialist in oral surgery at Schloss Schellenstein under Prof. Fouad Khoury. At Vienna Smile, he works daily with autogenous bone concepts and lectures nationally and internationally.
Dr. Maroš Kopačka, MSc
Oral Surgeon & Implantologist
Certified oral surgeon and implantologist with a focus on periodontal surgery, advanced implant cases, bone and soft tissue augmentations. He graduated from the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice and holds an MSc in Oral Surgery and Implantology from the Danube Private University in Krems. He teaches at international events and was Continental Eurasia Winner and World Finalist of the Megamind 2024 competition.
Dr. Krasimir Zlatev
Periodontology & Implantology
Runs a family practice in Varna, Bulgaria, with a long-standing focus on periodontology and implantology. He is an active member of the Bulgarian Society of Periodontology and Oral Implantology (BSPOI) and has trained in soft tissue and bone augmentation with leading experts. Since 2019 he has focused on Biological Bone Augmentation (BBA), completed the MIB Elite and Expert Masterclasses and now supports MIB as a Co-Instructor.
Dr. Darryl Burke
Implantology & Bone Augmentation
Part of the MIB Co-Instructor team, Dr. Burke supports the clinical education around autogenous bone augmentation and shares his experience with Real Bone Builders. He contributes to case discussions, live training and the implementation of biological concepts in daily implant practice.
Dr. Natalja Lunina
Implantology & Soft Tissue Management
MIB Co-Instructor with a strong interest in working with real bone and achieving predictable outcomes in bone and soft tissue augmentation. She combines her clinical work with active participation in the Real Bone Builders community and supports colleagues in implementing autogenous concepts step by step.
